2008 Urban Red - $25
Amigoni Estate - Missouri

MalbecAmigoni Vineyards
To Kati Block
Production: 50 cases

Very black in color with a deep red edge, the Urban Red reveals a profound bouquet of cherries. The wine is complex, a little vanilla and a little chocolate are in the background. On the palate, very powerful and concentrated. This wine is robust and packed with flavor. It seems that Missouri Cab Sauvignon from our vineyards really bring out cherries - red cherries and bing cherries. The mouth feel is massive and round with silky tannins. The nose is a lovely local Missouri American Oak. Bury your nose in a glass and savor the smell. This vintage will benefit from two years of cellaring if you can wait that long. Salute’.

Missouri - Amigoni Vineyards

MourvedreFrom the To Kati bloc of Amigoni Estate Vineyard in Missouri comes the first bottling of a peppery, earthy and spicy flavored Mourvedre. A grape that originally was named after a Spanish town, the word “Mourvedre” is of French derivation and is pronounced “more-ved-druh” by most English speakers. In Portugal they call it Mataro, in Spain it is called Monastrell, we call it, “interesting”. This Mourvedre was produced and aged at our Kansas City urban winery which produces wine exclusively from locally grown European grape varieties. Salute’.

Malbec Amigoni Vineyards

Production: 70 cases

This full bodied Cab Franc shows structure yet elegance. This wine has aromas of dried plums, raspberry, and ripe, dark cherry. It coats the palate with flavors of dark fruit and medium tannin that give way to a long finish. Aged 18 months in American Oak. The world would be a better place if everyone drank more Cab Franc!

2008 Inland Sea Cabernet Franc - $25.00
Amigoni Vineyards – Missouri
Stealth Ridge Block

Cab FrancSilky tannins and cherry fruit.

This cooler eastern block of Amigoni Vineyards produces a more elegant and old world style of Cabernet Franc. The block was named after the bombers seen in the sky in ’02 and ’03 when the planting was made since the vineyard is close to Whiteman AFB. This wine is all about a lovely mouthfeel, it’s got a slightly thick, velvety texture even thought the body itself isn’t all that heavy. A very “food friendly” wine for your evening meal with pork, chicken or beef. The nose is a clean smell of cherries on top of the American Oak.

2008 Chardonnay - Missouri - SOLD OUT

Chardonnay LabelAmigoni Vineyards - To Kati Block

White peach and stone fruit

A welcome new grape to the state, this Chardonnay is one of only a handful of Missouri-grown Chardonnays and the only one being produced in western Missouri.  This is a fruit-driven wine barrel fermented in a mix of neutral American and French oak.  This strategy for oak imparts creaminess to the wine, honoring but not overpowering the fruit. A nose of stone fruits and melon is followed by the crisp yet rich character of a wine with profiles of apricot and pear.
