Shallow seas covered the region in the Cretaceous Period, forming the limestone parent material for our vineyards. Original inhabitants of this distinctive landscape referred to the rolling native prairie as a vast sea of grass…an Inland Sea.

From our tiny urban winery in the West Bottoms of Kansas City, Inland Sea Wines offers our fans quality wines produced entirely by hand, with a commitment to local agriculture and to our great city.
